Hello again Andy, I see several Questions about Lowered suspensions, but what about a lifted suspension? I am looking for a shock to go back in for My Manx after putting in a 2 inch Lift. I have not actually put it all back together yet but my assumption would be that the lift would cause the original shock not to fit? If this is true can you point me in a direction of what would work?

Hi Tim,

I need a clarification on your question. Are you putting a 2″ body lift on the car, raising the body up from the pan or are you putting adjusters in the suspension and raising the car 2″ that way?

The shocks mount to the front axle beam. If you are doing a body lift, you will not need to do anything to the shock. If you are putting weld in adjusters into the front axle beam, and raising the car, chances are that you will need to put shocks on that are longer or taller than stock.

Hope this helps clear things up!

Andy
