Hi Andy. I have a type one 1600 engine. Back in day I had the case cut for a sand seal, and now l need to replace it.I recall that they had two different color type sand seals? Moving forward, is it still same today? How can I tell if your part 105285 will work in a case cut back in the 90s? Thank you!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the question. You are correct, back in the day there was a green seal and a red seal. I have not seen any of the green seals for years. Our part number 105285 is the red seal. As far as identifying what you have, I would always recommend accurately measuring your block and/or old seal. Our #105285 measures 2.257 on the OD.
