Carb jetting for high altitude

Ask AndyCarb jetting for high altitude

I live in Flagstaff, Arizona. We are at 6800 to 7000 feet. I am running some dual weber 34 ICT’s. I just need to know the correct jet sizes. for these carbs. I’m at a 4 on the main jet. I received this through another distributor. I believe it had the original jets, which I ran, but was bogging down on acceleration. So I put in all the new jets, 3 per carb. Well that didn’t work. The car wouldn’t even accelerate. Put the old stuff back in, looked through the manual and changed the main. left the original stuff in the carb. I know this is vague. But any help would be great. Thanks

Michael,

I really would like to help you, but there is more info that is needed. To start with, what size motor, what are the camshaft specs or part number and what RPM are you having the main problem?

Thanks,

Andy
