I have a ’65 Type 2 standard. Two questions. 1) Does your company carry a conversion kit to change over to an IRS system? 2) Is the front wall structural or can it be cut/modified to make it a walk-thru? Thanks for the help.

Hi Steve,

Sorry, no we do not offer this conversion kit. I believe that these companies do:
Wagons West
Wolfgang International

In talking with Russ at Old Speed in Paramount CA., there are challenges with this conversion. I would suggest that you do all of your research before spending your hard earned money!

As for the walk through conversion. It is not structural from what I can tell. VW did offer this as a factory option.
