I have a stock ’64 VW running a pict 28-1 carburetor. Can I replace this carb with the Weber/Redline pict 30/31? Will it match my manifold flange and bolt right up to the manifold flange?

Hi Jerome,

Thanks for your question. Yes, both the 28, 30 and 30/31 PICT carburetors have the same spacing between the mounting studs. The Redline Weber 30/31 PICT, part #113129029ARL will have a 12 volt chock heating element. If your 1964 VW still has the 6 volt charging system, you will need to also purchase the 6 volt element, part #113129191H.

Thanks,
Andy
